Project 365 - Tuesday October 27th, 2009 - Day 27

So this week my best friend Jenny is in town! She lives in Washington and her and her dad had to drive down here to pack up her grandpa's things. But I was so HAPPY cause I haven't seen her since January! So I made a fresh batch of cookies and dinner for us. And she brought me those pretty flowers!! We got to catch up on so much and it was so nice to see her! I get to see her one more time before she leaves!

Projct 365 - October 26th, 2009 - Day 26

So Monday Chuck called me at work and realized he left his keys in my purse. Well I was working 45 minutes away and there was no way I was driving back home to just drive back to work again! So he got to spend the day with the dogs and by the time I got home they were all tired from cleaning house and doing laundry all day! I must admit it was so nice to come home to a clean house and laundry!!

Project 365 - Sunday October 25th, 2009 - Day 25

So the pictures of the day for Sunday are of some Pumpkin Muffins I attempted to make. They were super easy!

I combined the ingredients: Here is the dry ingredients with the yummy pumpkin waiting to get added :-)

Mixing it all together! It smelled so good just mixing it together I couldn't wait for the house to smell of pumpkin muffins!
Right before going into the oven:

And after they came out!!!
Unfortunately they were not good! They were way too moist! But it was a good shot and a cheap one to try!

Project 365 - Saturday October 24th, 2009 - Day 24

So I fell behind on updating my blog!! I need to catch up!

First on the agenda Saturdays Pictures of the day! We went and got Roxy a new old navy shirt. Now she matches her brother more and she loves it! Plus with it being pink and having a ruffle collar she looks like such a cute little girl puppy! Even though she acts like a boy dog! And we had our ANNUAL PUMPKIN DINNER! We go out to a Pumpkin Patch with my parents and my sister and her friend Danielle. And we all get pumpkins then back to my parents house to have ayummy dinner (my Grammy's Soup every year) and then we carve pumpkins! It was so much fun!

Project 365 - Friday October 23rd, 2009 - Day 23

This is my new favorite find! We have 2 dogs and 2 cats. Needless to say unless we clean everyday or open the windows every day I feel like our house smells like pets. Granted I am sensitive to smell but I want our house to smell good and since I can't bake every day and make it smell like cookies I needed to find the next best thing!

While looking in the air freshener aisle I found this:

IT'S AMAZING!! We put it downstairs over by Roxy's pee pad area and it has made the whole place smell great! I can smell it when I walk in the door and it's across the condo from where the front door is, but the best part is I can smell it but it's not overpowering! It's just the perfect mix! I went out and bought a second one today to put upstairs. Unfortunately our carpet sucks upstairs and it really doesn't make it smell pleasant,so this should help A LOT!!

Project 365 - Thursday October 22nd, 2009 - Day 22

Thursday I made our first crock pot meal of Fall 2009 :-) I got a slow cooker pot roast seasoning packet at Safeway and tossed it in with 1 cup water, 1.5 (estimate) lbs rump roast, and some cut up carrots and potatoes! Here it is first thing in the morning!

And here are the potatoes and carrots after 9 hours of being in the crock pot on low :-)

The meat was so tender. It just fell off! Chuck couldn't even cut it with a knife because it just fell apart on its own! YUM!

It was one of the best roasts I have ever had! I can't wait to have it again! We had cut a 3-4 lb rump roast in half since it's only the 2 of us and now I cannot wait to make this again! I am going to find my own seasoning to make too so I don't have to keep buying the Slow Cooker Seasoning packets!

Project 365 - Wednesday October 21st, 2009 - Day 21

So Wednesday night we watched Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen!! I went and rented it Tuesday when it came out because Chuck loved it in theaters. I personally LOVE the first one but I like the second. It's 2.5 hours long and sitting in the theater was too long! But it really is a badass movie!! Definitely a must see! Make sure to watch the first one and then the second one!

Project 365 - Tuesday October 20th, 2009 - Day 20

For the Tuesday Picture of the day is Cupcakes! My coworker Jamie's birthday was Wednesday so I made her cupcakes! In my smaller office I am the one in charge of Birthday Cakes, Cupcakes, or Pies depending on what the person likes!

So I tried a new boxed cupcake mix and also a new frosting from Pillsbury called Easy Frosting. You get to squeeze it out in a decorative pattern!!

Before the oven!! And here is frosted batch! They were so yummy! One of my coworkers had 4 on wednesday and 3 that were leftover on Sunday!! I also added purple sprinkles cause I know Jamie loves purple!

Project 365 - Monday October 19th, 2009 - Day 19

So the other night we were watching the Season Finale of Hell's Kitchen and the 2 finalists ended up being the 2 people Chuck and I had picked from the beginning. So we made a small bet: I chose Kevin to win and Chuck picked Dave. So if Kevin won Chuck had to cook me breakfast and if Dave won I had to cook Chuck breakfast! Well Dave won and since I didn't make breakfast for Chuck this weekend I made him breakfast for dinner tonight!!

The guy loves his bacon!!!

We had Pillsbury Biscuits, bacon, scrambled eggs, and potatoes!! It was so yummy! Chuck did have to pitch in and help though because I couldn't make the potatoes! So he made those and then just scrambled the eggs up while I washed dishes because the stupid dishwasher is on the fritz yet again!

Project 365 - Sunday October 18th, 2009 - Day 19

So my final post before I get back to work! This was taken sunday while we were lounging around all day! I spent all day in sweats and I loved every minute of it! I was able to finish my HR midterm on friday night so I spent Sunday printing out craft ideas and recipe ideas and then hanging out with Chuck and the "kids".

I love how much our dogs cuddle! Our little one Roxy (the black one) loves Buster so much! If he's on the couch it's almost a gurantee she will squeeze herself up next to him! She practically sleeps on top of him some days but Sunday there was enough room on the couch for them both to cuddle up :-)

Project 365 - Saturday October 17th, 2009 - Day 17

So Saturday I needed some "ME" time and so did Chuck. I got up early Saturday and finally cleaned our garage! I should have taken before and after pics of the garage because the transformation was AMAZING! But I forgot :-(

So here is a picture of my car all loaded up for Salvation Army. I had to go to 3 different ones UGH! I went to a drop off location by our house first but he couldn't take furniture. So I went to an actual location but they couldn't take them because they didn't think they could sell them. So I went to a 3rd one and they took them :-) YAY! It feels so good to get this stuff donated. We had a big box of blankets, 4 garbage bags of clothes, a coffee table, end table, 4 speakers, and some misc items. I was happy to finally get them out of our garage and hopefully to someone who needs them.

And then I went out to the beach in the afternoon. I never get out to the beach anymore, and I used to go all the time! So I decided to drive myself out there and enjoy the scenery and the wonderful smell of thebeach! I love driving out there with my windows down because before you can see the ocean you can smell it :-) I love it so much! Here is one of the many pictures I took!

Project 365 - October 16th, 2009 - Day 16

Friday I was so excited to get the mail because in it was a package from one of the Peas on the message board I follow!! And it was some super cute Easter stickers and rubons! I haven't seen these any where around here and it was a steal of a deal! I got all three plus shipping for $7.50!! Now I just need some time to scrapbook using them!!

Dinner so GOOD I had to SHARE!!

Tonight for dinner we had steak marinated in a chipolte pepper grill mates seasoning, mashed potatos, peas, and sourdough rolls!! And SPARKLING APPLE CIDER!! It was so good I had to share pictures!

My VERY full plate!! And after I was done eating! Oh yeah I cleaned my plate! Aside from one piece of meat that was too pink for me!

And the cute little beggars! We did give them something when we were finished eating!

We are supposed to have some pumpkin pie for dessert, but I am so full that I might have to pass! I also am really tired and could definitely go to bed early tonight! Nothing on TV so maybe I'll catch up on reading! Have a great evening everyone!

Project 365 - Thursday October 15th, 2009 - Day 15

There are two pictures for today! I was summoned to Jury Duty yesterday and it was quite a rushed event. I forgot to call tuesday at 5 pm to find out if I needed to go in. I just completely forgot about having jury duty! So Wednesday I got home around 12:00, took the dogs out to go potty, put water on to boil for some noodles and looked up and BAM...my jury duty summons was sitting right there on our calendar. I freaked out! I called and had to be at the court house by 12:30!!!! Thank god we live only 10 minutes from the court house!! It was such a long afternoon and we had to come back today at 9:30!! But I was so lucky and I got dismissed! The attorney for the plaintiff dismissed me! I was the last person to be dismissed and I was so HAPPY. I wanted to run up and give the attorney a huge SMOOCH!! I was stressing out really badly over missing work and I would have ended up working at night, on weekends and on top of that I would have had to work on school midterms and homework!! But I can now sleep well tonight and not worry!

My second picture is of ME!! I decided to go and cut my bangs again today!! I went right after I was dismissed from Jury Duty and I'm so happy! I'm not sure why I grew them out! This picture isn't the best, I had just gotten out of the shower,(it was so muggy here and I cleaned the house and got all gross) so I'm wearing no make up and half my hair is wet and up! But I had to document my new bangs!!!! I love them!

Project 365 - Wednesday October 14th, 2009 - Day 14

The picture of the day is of the tree removal company trucks I saw when I left for work! A tree had a bunch of big branches fall down in front of some condo's down the way from ours and these guys were out cleaning up the mess! I'm not sure how much actually fell but it must have been quite a bit since these two trucks were both there and they are pretty big!! It makes me thankful that we don't have any trees that would fall into our condo!!!

First Pumpkin Pie of Fall 2009

So this afternoon I decided to make a pumpkin pie for dessert. I was working from home so I made it earlier enough that it had enough time to go in the fridge!!

Here are the ingredients all mixed together :)
The yummy pumpkin from Libby's. I guess the shortage is even happening around here now, both our Raley's and Safeway are out, but our Lucky's still has it! The crust before!!

Fresh out of the oven! It made the house smell so good!!

And TA DA!! It was just as I expected and all I hoped for! I love pumpkin pie and we happened to have some leftover cool whip from something LOL and it was perfect!! We had some dessert and are now watching Hells Kitchen!!

Project 365 - Tuesday October 13th, 2009 - Day 13

So today we had our first big rain fall! It poured all day long, it made me sohappy. I love weather like this and the bonus, I went to work and then worked the afternoon from home. Granted I worked late but that's okay I got to be home with a nice cozy fire!!

The sun did try and come out though. It was not successful but it looked really neat in the clouds! Thats above the condo's across from ours!

Project 365 - Monday October 12th, 2009 - Day 12

The pictures for today are of my baby boy Buster! He looked so relaxed on the couch :)

And it was his turn to cuddle up on the bed by the fire :) He stayed there for only a little while though, I think it got a little warm for him!

Weight Watcher Scones

So yesterday I decided to try another weight watcher's recipe. So I made their scones, I did half the batch regular and the second half as chocolate chip ones for Chuck!

They taste just like the yogurt biscuits they have which is great for me! I love their yogurt biscuits! These will be great warmed up with some butter and jelly in the morning :)

Project 365 - Sunday October 11th, 2009 - Day 11

I came walking out of the kitchen and saw this!! Roxy sitting on Chuck's lap getting a backrub!! I had to document a picture because she loves her back rubs! Almost as much as she loves her fires!!

Scrapbook Room

Saturday I needed to clean my scrapbook room!! It look like a tornado ran through it!! After finishing up the Birthday card I made for Chuck's Mom:

My scrapbook room before I cleaned it:

It felt so good to get it cleaned up!!! I ended up working in there again today (Sunday) so it didn't stay clean for very long but the clean up was long over due!!!

San Francisco Giants Pillow

So Saturday I decided to make Chuck a new pillow for his new man cave! I had found this San Francisco Giants fleece material a long time ago in a remnants sale! I gathered all my materials ;)

And TA DA!! The finished product. the Pillow I bought was too small, or should I say that made the case too big!! But we had some pillows lying around that we weren't using so I stole their stuffing and filled up the case :)
And Buster was very happy to have a pillow now so he can sleep while Dad plays video games in his man cave! I guess the guys need to stick together!!

I can't believe I made a Giants pillow to keep in my house because I love the Oakland A's, but at least its in Chuck's room.
