Time for a Shower

I don't think I've mentioned this before but my Best Friend Jenny is getting married in June! And I am so ecstatic to be her Maid of Honor :-) The only downfall to this entire thing is Jenny lives in Washington and I live here in California! She moved up there a few years ago when her parents moved!

I was upset that I probably wasn't going to make it up there for the bridal shower and would only be up there for the wedding :-( And then her Mom dropped a bombshell on us! She would be more than happy to fly Jenny down here so that I could throw her a Bridal Shower! I practically screamed when she emailed me this! I was so excited and I am sure her family and friends down here are thrilled as well!! But in order for those friends and family to know about the bridal shower, that is a month away I had to get my butt in gear!!

First things first send out those invites! I got them written out and put in the mail on Wednesday! Now to wait for people to RSVP yes or no!!
But there is still plenty of work to be done. Yesterday I went to Michaels, JoAnns, and two local party stores after work and gathered materials to work on the name tags and these fun favor boxes!

I picked some fun bright spring colors for the shower since it will be held on May 1st! I decided to put the favor boxes together myself! I got the simple white boxes and some fun green ribbon. Then I bought some pink and some purple Prima Flowers to embellish the box!

My supplies: glue gun, boxes, ribbon, and flowers!

I had to put all the boxes together and then I started by gluing the ribbon around the box and then adding the flowers to the front! I think they are turning out so cute! Here are three of the pink flower boxes!

I have to finish up the boxes today which I'll use purple flowers for. And then on the morning of the shower these little boxes will be filled with a cupcake and then tied with another piece of the green ribbon!! I can't wait for this shower to come! Not only do I get to see my best friend but her friends and family down here get to celebrate her upcoming nuptials with her!!
