Downtown Hometown!
So Friday as our Date Day we went to downtown of where I grew up. Only 20-30 minutes from where we live now, so easy drive, but I hadn't been there in awhile so we decided to go check it out!
This is the view from the parking garage!

Waiting for some yummy food. We ate at a small little grill in downtown across from a park!
Project 365 - October 9th, 2009 - Day 9
So Friday's picture of the day is kind of boring! It was the last weekday of our vacation and we needed to take Chuck's car in for an oil change!! So the first shot is of us on our way!!
And we took them to the wonderful Firestone! I love that place and it's right around the corner from our house :)

WW Pumpkin Spice Cake
I have been craving pumpkin bread for awhile now, ever since Starbucks came out with the Pumpkin Spice Latte!! I looked in my Weight Watchers Recipe and found a recipe for Pumpkin Spice Cake, which seemed close enough to pumpkin bread!
I added all the dry ingredients together
And then I added the wet ingredients, including the "rare" Libby Pumpkin Mix. The rumor of the pumpkin shortage in stores seems to have become a reality where I live. Two of our big grocery chains are out of pumpkin and not sure when they are getting more. But Mom and I stocked up at Lucky's and Wal-Mart!

Mixed all together...such a pretty color. I would definitely do this color as a wall color in my bedroom!
Fresh out of the oven! I wish I could add smell to a blog! It was amazing!

And then out of the bundt pan, onto the cake platter, sprinkled with powdered sugar, served warm!!

It is so amazingly good! On the higer point end of weight watchers, but one slice is enough satsifaction!
I don't want to brag...okay maybe I do...I am enjoying a delcious slice of pumpkin spice cake as I am typing right now! I just want a pumpkin spice latte, which can be arranged and this cake and I couldn't be happier!

Halloween Advent Calendar
So I saw a really cute idea on Two Peas that was essentially a fun Halloween calendar! The person who made the other put it onto a baking sheet, but I just used a 11 x 14 photo frame that I had lying around! This was so much fun to make!! The squares are 2x2 inches and I used templates and my cuttlebug to cut out the numbers and then I used various halloween stickers and background paper! I am going to work on a Christmas one for december! I just finished this one today so 7 days into October, a little late but it was so much fun!!!!
This is it in the frame!

It is never too early for me to be buying christmas items! On Oct 6th I went to Big Lots and found these glass ornaments!! Only 10 bucks and they are so adorable! Chuck and I are trying to get some real ornaments and not the cheap-o ornaments I got for my little tree! So we are slowly but surely adding more ornaments we love! Chuck's favorite is the polar bear (bottom left
) and mine is the snowman on the bottom row!!

Weight Watchers Brownies
So I have decided I need to lose weight! But I love my baked goods too much to give them up so I dug out my weight watchers recipe binder and found this brownie recipe! And they smell so delish!! I can't wait to try one later tonight!
And I will be back to a normal workout routine this week and some adjusted eating habits :-)
First we had to melt down some chocolate, I had Chuck do that cause I just can't seem to do it right LOL. And then combined with all the other ingredients;
Flour, Sugar, Baking Powder, Baking Chocolate, eggs, salt, egg whites, butter.

Popped into the oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes! I just took them out so I can't wait to try them!

Betty Swap
So my Betty finally got her package! So I can post the card I made and the jar I decorated for her! I didn't want to post until I knew she got it, you just never know who is clicking through on a blog and in the off chance she liked to cruise blogs (my link is in my siggy on Two Peas) I didn't want to spoil anything! But here are pictures:

Project 365 - October 4th, Day 4
So on Sunday we got up and ate some breakfast and then started packing up. But as my mom was standing the doorway of their 5th wheel her dog Maggie was curled behind my mom's legs and it was so cute. She doesn't leave my Mom's side, but she looked really cute!!

And for Tomorrow we are....on VACATION! We are doing some rearraning of furniture and then enjoying being home! I will also be working on my halloween calendar. I am already 4 days behind and I would like to get it up and have it up this season! :-) I will take pictures of what I've done so far!

Good Morning Fellow Campers:
Yummy potatoes, eggs, and ham scrambled together, topped with cheese and yummy biscuit!!
So at the campground it turned out there was a fun event going on that day! They had a bunch of vintage trailers and all were decked out in vintage items. It was so neat. And this one, which is for sale, apparently had the artwork on the front done by the same artist that worked on the Disney movie the Cars. It was really cutely done.

Project 365! - October 1st - Day 1
So I decided to start my own 365 project and I'm too impatient to wait until January to start :-)
And I decided I wouldn't stick to just one picture!! I am going to blog about here and also make a little scrapbook journal!
Here is day 1 - Oct 1st, 2009
I woke up at 5 to get into Sonoma by 7 so I could get my work done early and have time to get stuff together for camping!! So I had a yummy yummy breakfast!
And I was so excited to come home and find my newest steal of a deal! I saw in a Better Homes & Gardens magazine an advertisement for free shipping on a little teapot for one! So I went online to http://www.englishteastore.com/ and bought this baby for $6.95 and free shipping!! It's so perfect and cute and I can't wait to use it for the first time!

NEW NIGHTSTANDS
So I am happy to say we have now bought all furniture for our bedroom that matches!!YAY! We got two new nightstands and a dresser that match the TV Stand we found at the thrift store! We haven't put together the dresser but next week on vacation we are putting it together and then rearranging the bedroom so I'll add pictures next week of the bedroom fully put together!
Here's Chuck putting together the nightstand (with help from the dogs)

Here it is all put together! And Belle is modeling for you :-)

These are so awesome because now we both have matching night stands and we have so much more room! We can easily fit our alarm clocks, glasses of water and lamps. I also can fit my book and the phone without trying to figure out how to make it fit! I am so so happy! The drawer is deep and has lots of space and now I can keep my books and magazines on the shelves and not littered all around the house!
