DIY - Picture Wall - The Easy Way!!

We have a really nice stairway in our house with ceilings that go all the way to the top of our condo. Meaning they are like 20 foot walls (I think, don't quote me but they are freakin tall) and a blank canvas!! We randomly have put up pictures since we moved in but never really took the time to decorate the wall nicely. It was quite a mess!

One Saturday Chuckles got invited to go to a San Francisco Giants game leaving me with the house all to myself! I ended up getting a "bug up my butt" (love that expression) and decided to fix our disaster of a stair way! I won't even show you a before picture...nope I won't it was a mess!

I took all of our photo's down on every single side of the wall and decided to focus solely on the center wall. I had ordered a bunch of wedding photos, including a 16 x 20 canvas, and we had already purchased a wall frame kit (6 months ago) that had been sitting in my scrapbook room.

I picked up an awesome tip from Pinterest (isn't that where all great tips come from) where you cut out paper size copies of all your frames then tape them up to the wall so you can play with the positioning of each picture before putting a million holes in the wall. And when I say a million I am not exaggerating (okay maybe slightly) but if you remove a couple photo's from my scrapbook room you can clearly see I am challenged when it comes to hanging photos! So this little trick made my life so much easier as well as my wall relatively hole-less.

Ugly ugly light fixture!

Just make sure you clearly identify which frame is which paper!!

Then wait for your husband to come home and hang them for you. You could always do it yourself but Chuckles prefers to hang things himself. How sad is it that I can't be trusted with hanging nails and hammer while he's gone?

Notice the ugly fixture, cat perch, and white shelf.

The wall was by no means completed but it was looking so much better than before! I had a brilliant idea to make a cute sign to hang above our canvas picture. Originally I wanted it to say The Garcia's Est. 4-28-2012. Unfortunately along with my pitiful photo hanging skills I am challenged in estimating sizes on everything.

I did manage to get up The Garcia's and LOVE how it turned out. Yep I hand crafted that. It took me 2 hours to get it all put together but I also had to run all the squares through my cuttle bug. What you can't see is the awesome texture it added to my card stock! I ran a piece of black ribbon behind the letters and then secured it to the wall using push pins. Don't you love? I do!! Totally worth the time cause A. It was fun and B. It turned out perfect!!

Along with the sign I wanted a new light fixture. I have hated our stairway light fixture from the minute we moved in. It was hideous and very old skool! While I was hosting my Sister's bridal shower Chuckles hung up our new light fixture!! YAY!! We also removed the white shelf cause it was just taking up space in an already small space!

I am so happy and so in love with our wall! It truly is everything I wished for! Aside from missing the Est. 4-28-2012, which really is not big deal, it is more than I could've imagined!

Some people might think it's weird to showcase our wedding photos, heck some people might even think it's conceited but can I help that we are so good looking that we want to stare at ourselves every day?? JUST KIDDING!! I get to do that in mirrors DUH!

And we actually got some items up on the other wall so we have just one wall to finish. Which I have a good idea for! I'll make sure to share once it's completed :)

I picked up these two signs at Kohls one day (bonus they were 40% off) and I loved them! I was worried Chuck wasn't going to like them but he knocked me off my rocker when he ended up really liking them! YAY!

You see this when you first start up the steps!

Seriously though we are so impressed with our wedding photos that it'd be a crime not to showcase them. Plus, not all of the photos are of just us :)

Has anyone else used the awesome paper technique to hang their photos??

Bathroom Shelf Overhaul!!

Goodness remember back when I posted that I wouldn't have anything new to post for awhile so I was thinking of doing reviews (don't worry those are still coming) but I've kind of been on organizing spree again! I reorganized my scrapbook room awhile back, and would totally show you but it's covered in all wedding related items so it unfortunately doesn't look as organized as it should! Once the wedding is over I will make sure to let you see my newly organized beautiful space where I spend my time creating!!

For now I will show off my newly organized bathroom shelves!! I have been struggling FOREVER with keeping these shelves organized. I didn't know what to do with my make up, the stack of workout clothes always ended up in disarray and of course my many bottles of hair products and lotions were constantly causing me troubles. But I found a solution!!

First up I moved all my make up into a little make up caddy that locks up nice and neat. This is stored next to our vanity and honestly I don't know why I ever stopped using it. It's not pictured but it's truly amazing. I have all my make up organized by type and this way I know exactly what I have to use!

Then I moved all my nail polish (that doesn't hang out in the fridge) into this adorable basket that I got in some sort of bath set. Moved my nail tools into the three drawer holder. I also filled an entire drawer of that with hair clips and bobby pins and another drawer with my headbands. You can only see the top drawer of my holder but it's three drawers.

And of course I keep my baby wipes handy - baby wipes? what for? you might ask - they are amazing for removing make up at night or just for a refresher if it's hot! Love using them and my coworker Laura was the one who told me to use those when camping - oh yes it's so nice when camping cause you truly feel cleaner when you can't shower!!

And last but not least I finally got smart and threw my workout clothes in a basket!! Bra's, pants, and tops all fit nicely in that basket and when I am getting ready to get dressed I just pull the basket down, grab what I need and the basket slides right back into place. No falling clothes, no mess!! I love it!

The second shelf I devoted to my beautiful jewelry boxes, my handheld mirror, and my make up brushes!! I wanted to keep those away from the sink area as they take up so much room!! It was just too cluttered for my taste and I prefer our bathroom sink area as cleaned up as possibly! And peeking out of the back is a travel kit! I originally bought that as a started kit for my mini emergency kit for work but haven't gotten around to updating my old one, so it sits patiently waiting!

And the final shelf is my pride and joy - my hair product and lotion collection!! I bought those two little trays at Target for $2.50 each. I honestly had no idea what to use them for but they were so damn cute I had to buy them. Totally had buyers remorse but then I discovered they worked perfect for this and added a little color to my boring white shelves!

On one tray I keep all my hair products that I use on a regular basis and you can't see them but I also keep my extra shaving gel, Veet (so excited to try for the first time), and razor blade refills.

Then of course my collection of lotions!! I love lotion and I love having a wide variety! My faves are from Bath and Body Works - you'll find out those are my favorite candles too -but I have quite a bit of variety! I also keep my Benefit cosmetics face products there and an awesome face spritz refresher from the Body Shop! I just love products!!

All in all this new system is amazing! Sorry for no before pictures but trust me it was a disaster!! The workout clothes were all just stacked on a shelf, my jewelry box was buried to the side of them, and all my lotions, hair products, and misc body items were in that big white basket. Can you say PAIN IN THE BUTT?? Trust me it was!

But for $5 I revamped my shelves and even Chuckles likes them much better. I think he just likes having all my make up and brushes off the bathroom counter cause it gives him more space but regardless he's happy and I'm happy!!

Anyone else discovered awesome bathroom storage ideas?

2011 Wrap Up

Boy oh boy did the last couple weeks of December fly by! I couldn't even make time to post but I'm back and ready to start 2012 off with a bang! First things first - lets do a recap of my 2011 Goals.

1. Dress up for work 4 days out of the week. (We have a pretty lax dress code but I want to start dressing more business casual instead of jeans everyday) - FAILED! I tried but then I shrunk out of my pants and have been waiting to buy new work slacks. When you don't need them for work it's hard to justify spending the money on new work pants. Plus I realized I'm very lucky to get to go comfy to work so I am taking advantage. Point in fact - today I'm in sneakers, jeans, and a sweatshirt!

2. Work 40 hour workweeks!! I am sick of working extra hours so this year it's 40 hour work weeks (Overtime ONLY when absolutely NEEDED and NEVER on a Friday) - ACCOMPLISHED! This year I only worked a few hours of overtime when it was absolutely needed! I wish I could say I never did on a Friday but it turns out Fridays are the best times for me to work overtime. I accomplish way more and then I get to go home and veg with the honey!

3. Lose 2 dress sizes by Summer (3 by Christmas) - Somewhat Accomplish/Somewhat Failed - I lost 2 dress sizes but not until October. I am almost down one more but alas, I did not meet the goal by the end of the year. However - I lost 53 lbs this year and started excercising 3-4 days out of the week! That to me makes up for the dress size.

4. Read 2011 Book List - ACCOMPLISHED! Yes the side tracker says I didn't but if you notice my original 2011 Book List was 46 books and I read 49 this year!!

5. Clean the house top to bottom every week! - HAHAHAHA FAIL!! This was definitely a wishful thinking goal. We just got so darn busy that it didn't happen. I will say though we have a new cleaning goal for 2012 that is totally attainable! Stay tuned...

6. Take Buster to Camp Bow Wow twice a month - Half Fail/Half Accomplished! This one is half and half because we did take him twice a month and then I started excercising and started taking Buster 3 days outo f the week. The Camp Bow Wow was to give him some excercise but once I started walking him we stopped taking him twice a month. He still goes but since it's expensive we cut back!

7. Finish my bookkeeping certificate - ACCOMPLISHED!!

8. Finish up the Home Improvements (List coming soon) - With the wedding planning (and saving) we did very minimal work on the house, which I knew would happen. In case you forget I made my goals before our engagement, which definitely put a damper on some goals, but hey there's always this year right....or next year :)

9. Scrapbook 2 layouts a month - ACCOMPLISHED! I successfully scrapbooked at least 2 layouts a month!

10. Finish my Hawaii album - FAILED!! I completely forgot this was a goal until yesterday. Where I spent all afternoon working on it, with only one layout left to do I am positive it will be finished before the end of January.

11. Spend more time with friends - ACCOMPLISHED! In fact I overbooked myself too much in 2011 and started hating making plans. While I love spending time with friends I found myself overly stressed over life and committments so this year my friends - Yes we will spend oodles of time together but I'm going to say No a lot more to give myself some downtime!!

12. Date night EVERY week! - FAILED!! We were extremely good at this until Chuckle's got his new job, now it's like date night every single night and weekend!! Plus when the weather got cold we wanted to stay home! But we always make sure to do something on date night, whether its playing games at home or at least going out to eat.

13. Take a FUN vacation - like Hawaii, Vegas, Disneyland, or a Cruise - This got put on the back burner due to our engagement. But we PLANNED our Honeymoon for this year so I think it counts!!

14. Go camping at least 4 times - Again with the engagement we decided to cut back costs and we lost quite a few weekends, BUT we went 2 TIMES!! So I deem this an accomplishment! Once just us two for our big vacation and then once for the Annual Campfest! Both times were so much fun!

15. Celebrate our Anniversay (we never do cause I am so not into those things) - ACCOMPLISHED! We went to the Melting Pot and had a great experience! So great we are going again this year! WOOHOO!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful 2011, a Safe New Years, and most of all that you completed your goals you set out to complete!

For this year I am going a little more specific and probably a few less with the weddings (yup my Seester is getting married this year too) taking up all our time :)

Happy New Years Everyone!

Making Space

Last week I had the most brilliant idea - CREATE MORE SPACE IN MY SCRAPBOOK!!

It would seem obvious but nope I'd been working in cramped corners for awhile. I really didn't want to give up my lime green sewing table but I realize it was not functional for me and I really wanted to create space to put my computer up.

I bought two book shelves and dug out my old tabletop out of the garage and voila! Now there is a huge space walking into my room and I've got not only a sewing table/computer table but I've got enough room to set my pages that need to dry!

A view from the top!

This space is so much better. It created storage under the desk that doesn't have to be seen (Goodbye clutter) and it actually created a better spot to keep my radio as well as my boxes of specific themes.

I can also keep my stash of girlie movies that I watch over and over while scrapbooking! I am so happy with the space I've created and now if I ever want to have Mom come up and scrapbook she will have a decent size work area, all I will have to do is move my Monitor and sewing machine which is easy peasy!

Anyone else updating their rooms?

Ugly Room Revamp!

I'm not sure if I have ever mentioned this before but I hated our bedroom. I hated the colors, the furniture, the bed without a nice bed set, it drove me BONKERS!!

Well Chuck and I finally bit the bullet and did a massive upgrade to our bedroom! We got a new bed frame, new mirror, new pictures up, a new tv and the best of all we got rid of all the excess furniture!! Goodbye dressers, goodbye tv stand, hello empty beautiful space!!

I am so excited I had to share pictures!!

We decided to not change the colors of the walls since that's going to be a huge job for me and I didn't have the time, plus even if I had planned on it I couldn't because of how sick I was.

These pictures are ones that I actually took!! I am very proud to hang these up!

We actually had these decorative items but I just moved them to above the bed. We may still move them up higher since I found that awesome clock at TJ Max for only $10. But for now I love it!

And our new TV!! I was so stoked to get rid of the bulky tv stand, as well as the bulky tv and replace them with just this amazing flatscreen. It leaves so much more room in our room :-) Even Roxy loves the new bed!

It was quite the ordeal with this bed and long story short - this is not the bed we picked out and it's not the color, but we liked it anyways and it actually gave us some more drawer space. Even though we had a horrible experience with the company who sold us the bed everything has turned out really nice. We still have a few minor things to finish up, like Chuck finishing the trim on the closet and I want to paint the gold trim on the mirrors, but other than that our new bedroom is UH-MAZING!

I was excited to get our first home improvement of the season going!

Closet to Pantry in ONE Day!!!

Remember back in July of last year when I reorganized my kitchen and "pantry"? If not here's a flashback for you!! I spent an entire day cleaning my kitchen out and reorganizing cause I was so tired of food items being spread throughout our downstairs in random spots. Well I guess I wasn't satsified because I finally had it with having to into our laundry area to get out any baking items. I decided the time had come to get rid of our downstairs closet and change it into a pantry. Besides how many coats and jackets do we really need downstairs? It wouldn't kill either one of us to walk our butts upstairs to get a sweatshirt or jacket.

So on a GORGEOUS Saturday I got out of bed determined to put together a pantry that will work! I apologize for not having a Before Picture but just imagine 10 coats hanging in a dark closet with a bookshelf that help misc items! It was not a pretty sight!

First things first I went SHOPPING!! I took some measurements and hopped in the car to head to WalMart! I picked up a new bookshelf that wasn't quite as big, 2 plastic containers with handles for cans or spices, and then a big garment bag to house our coats. Neither of us are fans of walking out the house covered in cat hair and I don't want to delint my jacket every time!

After my successful trip to Walmart I came home and got to work! First I took out the bar from the closet and removed EVERYTHING! Vaccummed it up and then set to work on putting together the bookshelf. Once I got that done I installed this awesome holder. Check it out below...it really is AMAZING!!!

Then I got to organizing!! I took ALL of our baking supplies out from the Laundry room area and was able to neatly put it ALL in the bookshelf YAY!! I was also very excited to put my new wine glasses from Christmas somewhere that's easily accessible and where they won't get dirty. Check out our brand new pantry!!!

We both are so ecstatic and neither of us has minded that we have no big jackets downstairs. It even started raining here and it was easy peasy to pull out our coats! I am excited to have a place for our vacumn as well as our brooms and swiffer! Everything is so much easier to access and our Laundry room feels so bare now! I love it! And I am so excited that I'll be starting to work on my list of home improvements for 2011. Chuck's already crossed off a few items - fix the light switches so they all work YAY!! He replaced our broken doorbell button and installed a new light fixture on the front porch!! I am so excited to be working on the house again!!

Anyone else done any early spring cleaning and organizing?

$10 in Free Money = Score! $20 in Free Money = MAJOR SCORE!!!

Oh Kohls how I love thee!!

Our local Kohls (and probably all other Kohls) sends out $10 "gift cards" in the mail every once in awhile and I LOVE THEM! I don't normally shop at Kohls except during Holiday season but when those little cards come in the mail I'm there within a few days! The best part is that not only do I get a card, but Chuck gets one too!! Meaning $20 for me to spend WOO HOO!!

This last time I was able to score this awesome new white board calendar!

We have been trying to find a system that works for us and normal calendars do not. Our schedule tends to change and I absolutely hate whiting out or crossing out anything on calendars. In my planner and at work everything goes in pencil but at home I was dumb and put everything in pen....So I got rid of our old calendar.
Then I found this awesome steal of a deal at Kohls...the price on the back said $29.99...could it really be worth that....even with $10 off I'm still spending $19.99 on something that I could probably find at Target or Walmart, or at least something similar...

I had already used my other $10 on stuff for a swap I'm participating in so I really didn't have anything I HAD to buy with my other $10...Great thing about our Kohl's is that they have price checkers throughout the store...Just in the off chance it was on sale I scanned.....
On sale for $17.99 WOO HOO...This baby cost me under $10...I was so excited...and since I was saving a few bucks I treated myself to the TransSiberian Orchestra CD they had at the front for only $5, and that $5 went to charity YAY!! Overall a SUCCESSFUL trip...and Chuck loves it too!

Anyone else score any great deals lately??

Living Room Accent Wall is FINALLY PAINTED!!

I was so excited to get up and paint our accent wall this morning that I beat my alarm clock by an hour. I got up at 7 and went to take Buster to Camp Bow Wow for the day to keep him out of my hair and the little bugger decided he'd rather sleep in. So I went downstairs and started the prep work......

Just as a reminder here's a before picture of our living room. See how boring and bland it is...we wanted something to warm it up and we of course needed to cover up an outline from a large mirror the previous owners had put up.
And AFTER!! I am so pleased with this color. It is a Behr Paint & Primer, because they really are the best paints ever! It's called Caramel Swirl!!

I was so excited for it to dry because poor Roxy was stuck upstairs with me in the bedroom, although I did finish my book so I accompliced two things today :)  And a major plus was that we have to run our cable wire along the wall and up & over the fireplace and it stuck out like a sore thumb. With this new paint I was able to cover up the nasty blank lines and now it blends WOO HOO!!
I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. But the only problem I ran into was that the dang paint tape didn't work in one corner of the room and now I have to touch up the tan wall...see the right corner in the picture is where the mess up waas. I went out to the garage dug out the box of paints the previous owners left and of course the only paint they didn't have was the one they used downstairs. Just my luck. Fortunately I have kept every single paint card that I have ever brough home and found a perfect match! Suprise Suprise it's a Behr paint, but it's not the primer so I may have to match it even closer at Home Depot. As soon as I run to the Depot tomorrow and pick up a small container of paint the wall will be perfect!!

Anyone else love having accent walls in their homes?

Entryway Revamp!!

This week while I'm on VACATION I have a list of things I want to get done!! First on my list is getting some long over due painting done. Monday I was just going to prep and paint everything today but instead I got some painting done YAY!!

Take a look at our Entryway! I love our entryway...it's nice and open and it's an actual entryway instead of just walking into the living room....but I HATE the purple color. Seriously they loved dark colors in this house. So far we've gotten rid of two rooms of dark colors...one room I am hiring a painter because the ceilings are extremely high. Back to the entryway!

Check out our new entryway table. We scored this beauty off Craiglist for only $30! It reminded me of an awesome table my Sister scored as well...this is the Mother of her table :)

One more shot of this ugly purple color, which made the entryway feel and look super closed in and small.

TA DA!! We chose a Behr Paint and Primer in One, because those paints are the best! The color is called crepe! It's awesome!

And check out our entryway table now!! It's now a beautiful crisp white!!!!! We also moved our key/mail holder above the table which makes more sense with our keys right by the door. Plus it freed up some space on our breakfast bar!

I also moved our coat holder into the area by our laundry room. It's so nice to have it away from the front door, leaving even more open space!

I am so EXCITED over our entryway...this new color is AMAZING and it really makes our entryway feel so open and I don't feel like I am walking into a cave when I come home!!

Now onto the Accent Wall in the Living room and then I'll be adding a wallpaper border to our breakfast bar area, then finishing up our dining room chairs. It's going to be a busy day but I LOVE doing this type of stuff!!

A Bit of Updates!

Last weekend and Monday we decided to make a few updates to the house. All minor updates but all make a huge difference to us.

I finally hung a picture in my bathroom. I had this picture up in my bathroom before and in our apartment before and just loved it! With the new color schemes I wasn't sure it would fit in, but alas it works perfectly!

Doesn't it just look great with the towels?!?!?
Another new addition was a WINE RACK!! I scored this beauty at Pier One!!
It fits perfectly on our breakfast bar and since we aren't huge wine drinkers, although I'm learning, we didn't need anything huge! I just love it...And BONUS! It matches our other furniture! Yes I am all about matching!
For awhile now we've been looking for a small fake tree to take up this open space in a corner in the living room! Sunday night we walked to Beverly's to look for glue and frames for our puzzles and scored a HUGE DEAL! They had their fake trees at 75% off! How could we pass up such a deal?!?!?

We got this beautiful fake bamboo tree, which also matches the furniture color LOL, for only $20!! Can you believe it $20!!!

Since we walked to Beverly's from the house Chuck actually decided to carry this baby home instead of me going back the next day with the car! It was quite the sight to see I'm sure, but it's so awesome and it really did finish off that space wonderfully!

Also last week while I was at Pier One, I stopped in at Michaels and picked up this adorable fall decoration! which was on sale! YAY!
And placed it on our mantle shelf :-) I was so excited to have a mantle to decorate!

With this new fall decoration I couldn't help but get out our fall decorations and I started decorating!! I'll post pictures later!

Anyone else doing any home improvements or fall decorating?

TJ Maxx Treasures

Last weekend not only did I update some of our dining room chairs but while I was out and about I stopped by our local TJ Maxx and picked up some awesome new home items!
I just had to get this little gem :-) The new leash holder was just too perfect to pass up and it only cost $5 WOO HOO!! Isn't it so cute?

I also picked up the final two pieces for our living room accessories! YAY! We only have one piece left to complete our living room and that is for Chuck to finish the trim around the fireplace...but I did get to find the final two accesories!

This little red vase (only $5) was perfect for one of our end tables! I just took some of the extra flowers I had from the other decorations and popped them!! I just love the red, yellow, and orange colors...plus with fall coming up I won't have to put them all away :-)

This last piece I did not get at TJ Maxx but I found it at JoAnn's. It's a flower pot but I wanted to add another candle to our dining room! I also bought a candle that when I first smelt it reminded me of my Grammy's house. I have no idea if it's an actual scent that she may have had in her house but it just reminded me of her old house.
Anyone else done any home updating?

Refinished Chairs = A Sore Back!!

This weekend was a very productive weekend or maybe I should say Saturday was productive! I spent all day yesterday working on refinishing three of our six dining room chairs! Unfortunately I did something horrible to my back and could not work on the other three today! But 3 out of 6 isn't bad for one day :) Here's a flashback of the dining room table we scored!!

Here's a picture of one of them, the ones I worked on don't have arms like this one but you get the idea! Check out that HIDEOUS seat cushion YUCK!!

Originally I had planned on sanding each one of these babies down but my Mom came up with the brilliant idea of only priming them. Which duh if they don't need to be sanded why not just prime them! I was really happy that these three chairs did not need to be sanded I went and bought some spray paint primer and started sprayin!

After an hour to dry I went out and painted them the AMAZING Espresso color

And TA DA, the new seat cushions! I was able to pick up some very plain brown fabric and some ribbon to match our curtains! I just used a staple gun to attach the fabric and I was super happy to be able to hot glue the ribbon and not have to sew it on! Saved me some time for sure!!

Finally the NEW AND IMPROVED chair!! I am so pleased with how the chairs turned out and the color scheme is just perfect! It's not too flashy but still incorporates the dining room colors!!

A shot of all three that I did on saturday! I couldn't be prouder of these. It took a lot of work but it's all worth it now!! 3 down 3 more to go! I am hoping to get the other 3 seat cushions covered this week and then next weeked I am hoping to get the other three chairs painted. But this time those three chairs will be done over 2 days instead of one day. My back is shot and my wrist was killing me last night!

Does anyone else like to refinish furniture? I just love it because I can control our color scheme more easily...I am very excited that all of our furniture downstairs to be the same exact color, well except the TV stand which we bought new! But it's pretty darn close!

Summer Cleaning!

While Saturday was a near perfect day, I scrapbooked all day and finished up a book I was reading, Sunday I decided to get at least one thing done on my to do list. And that one thing was cleaning out our pantries and cupboards! Yes you saw that right...plural on the pantries. Our condo does not have much cupboard space for us and we are just dying without a real pantry! My big plan was to rearrange our cupboards and use only one of our extra "pantry" spaces. Now these spaces are literally a organizer hung over the back of our downstairs closet and on the shelves in our laundry room! I hate it!!

I first took everything out of our cupboards and our "pantries"....Our dining room table was COVERED in food items!

Then I took out everything from the cupboards in the kitchen....

With no room left on the table all of my baking items were left on our counters!

Then I got to organizing. I first decided how I wanted food arranged....and now check out our beautifully organized cupboards. And I am happy to say most of the food items are actually in the kitchen now WOO HOO!!
This is our breakfast items and lunch items/snack items cupboard! Yes that's a bottle of wine...it may not belong but I was planning on drinking it that night!
This is the boxed food items and our drinks cupboard! A little random but we needed a separate space for our coffee and teas :-)

And of course I couldn't fit everything into our kitchen so I decided ALL baking items were to go in the laundry room :-( I really wish we had a better place and eventually we will (in our next house) but this works for now. It makes sense to put all the baking stuff in one spot and then I am happy to say the rest of the items all are now residing in our kitchen where they belong!

And after...doesn't my kitchen look pretty? I was so happy to get it all cleaned up after making a mess...

And of course now we could see our dining room table again LOL!

I was so ready to relax after reorganizing and cleaning....so what did I do? I sat down and watched Leap Year and cuddled with the puppies...then after the movie I read Wicked for a bit. Overall I had a great weekend.....probably because I didn't leave the house once (Aside from taking the dogs out) and I got to scrapbook, read, and organize...3 of my favorite things :-) I hope everyone else had a GREAT WEEKEND!
